Wavers’ story began one hazy afternoon in the long, hot summer of 2018, when CEO and founder Paul Moody (a music and fashion journalist) had a brainwave while sunbathing on Hastings beach.
Watching everyone struggle to walk on the hot pebbles, a thought occurred to him.
Why not design a new kind of beach/swim shoe? One which not only ensured the easy negotiation of stony beaches and maximised the thrill of sea swimming, but which also looked and felt fabulous, too?
The result is the revolutionary Wavers beach shoe. Designed in consultation with Will Beaven of award-winning, London-based design group Positive2, Wavers are both chic and super comfy — a 21st-century alternative to tired, old flip-flops and slides.
We believe that small is beautiful. Each pair of Wavers is individually quality checked, packed and posted from our base on Hastings’ sunny West Hill, where Paul and partner Liz still live.

SHIPPING
1) Where do you ship to?
We ship worldwide! Please ensure you’re browsing on the correct webpage so we can offer you the best rates and stock availability for your region. You can change your country by clicking on the flag at the top of the menu of our website.
2) Where is my order shipped from?
Each order is individually checked, packed and posted from our base on Hastings’ sunny West Hill.
3) What happens if I don’t receive my order?
In the rare case you have an issue with delivery, please fill out the form on our contact us page. Our team will do all they can to help solve this problem for you.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
How do I return my order?
Simply let us know the reasons why you are unhappy with your Wavers and we will either replace or provide a full refund (if the Wavers are still unused, of course!).
How long do I have to return an item?
We have a no-quibbles 30-day return policy, so please get in touch if you’d like to send back an unwanted item for a refund.
I’d like to exchange an item, how can I do this?
Just let us know via email which colour/size you would prefer, and we will send them out to you first class as soon as the original pair have been received by us.
PRODUCT & CARE
Are Wavers quick-drying?
Yes. Unlike most other sea/water/aqua shoes, Wavers’ upper is made of a neoprene/spandex mix which means that they dry very quickly once out of the water. In cold weather they should be left to dry in a sunny spot, although not on top of hot radiators!
How do I clean my Wavers?
This can be done by running them under a cold tap and leaving them to dry. Alternatively, you can always pop them in the washing machine, on a cold wash. They should not be put on a hot wash or in the tumble dryer!
What are Wavers made of?
Wavers’ unique design comprises a neoprene and spandex upper, with a lightweight TPR (thermoplastic rubber) sole.
Where are Wavers designed and made?
Wavers are designed in-house in Hastings and with our London-based designer, Will. They are manufactured by our awesome team in China by recognised global footwear specialists Hello Sports — who also produce footwear for Umbro, Fila and Replay.
